Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. ~ H. Jackson Brown

My last blog post was on the 8th of May, 2011. It took me some time to register the ridiculous fact that its been almost 6 months since my last post !
I could blame it on the fact that since I shifted base to another city, it would take me some time to go back on track as per my regular habits go. But I wont simply cause I know it would be an excuse. Procrastination just enrolled another student … & he ain’t too happy about it 😑

Its then that I decided my 1st ‘return’ blog post would be on time. A long time back I had even written a poem on it…but I guess I forgot its message since then πŸ˜₯ .

I spent the last few days looking back at my past. I guess its a result of reading about the new Timeline feature on Facebook. Its hard to believe that so much time has passed since I was a fresher in the office….& now its already time for me to guide them :-s. But thats the lesson of life I guess. Each one of us has but a small part in this whole saga. Do what is right & move on πŸ™‚ .

Each one of us has different ways of reminiscing about the past. Some of us get the old picture album out….some are lucky enough to have old videos lying around….some meet their old school/college buddies & talk about their days together in the sun.
Unfortunately I don’t have access to those things here…so I am thankful to the Internet. I can surf old pics on Picasa or Facebook & catch up with old friends even though they are thousands of miles from me.

Nowadays whenever I am free, I try to catch up on some habits like watching some old comics/ shows / movies & relive the excitement & joy I used to feel watching it then.

Towards the end of my post (finally ! ), I have to address 1 thought which I am sure would have come up in your head…it sure came up in mine – “If you live so much in the past, then won’t you be wasting your present & thus your future?”

Relive your past all you want – BUT in your free time (like while eating bfast or break time while studying). Always focus on the present with a small eye on the future. There is no time like the present . Concentrate on the future too much, & you will ruin your present & have a definite regret in the future.

Have dreams. Have ambitions. Work your way towards them. The happiness you gain from achieving each goal makes it worth it. Thats the purpose of life. Happiness. Not the temporary ones. But joy that will live on for ages to come.

Wait a sec- how does a post on time end up as a lecture on life? Well thats how I am spending my current time. Following my aspirations.

My favourite part of the house is the Wall board which has my ‘ToDo’ list πŸ™‚
