Traveling alone on this path
You feel like you need someone with whom you can talk
You come across him,
Him with whom you absolutely love to even walk.
You lay bare your deepest secrets,
It feels good to have someone to listen.
He makes you feel welcome,
Over the saddest stories, the tears on his cheek often glisten.
At times he does make mistakes,
He does not fully understand.
But he will be the first to apologise
Your anger does he fully withstand.
As Father Time passes by,
You will have more close friends.
He might step back a bit,
But over times good & bad, his friendship transcends.
Eventually you lose touch,
The lines you remember ’Out of sight out of mind’.
Your friendship is now a beautiful memory,
In this busy world, even that may be hard to find.
