Last Wishes?

On Sep 11 2009, I had added a Facebook App called Death-Time on a friend’s request.
It gives you a time of your passing away along with the cause (in a funny way).
While all my friends got deadlines nearly 10 years in the future, I actually got a deadline of June 21 of 2010 at 2:37 pm.

While I hope to be around to confirm that the deadline is a hoax 😀 , I couldn’t help but think about the old movie ‘Anand‘ (ie Joy) . Its the classic story of a terminally ill man who wishes to live life to the full before the inevitable occurs (he is diagnosed to be in the last stages of Cancer).

Think about it. If you were given say 2 weeks to live, What would you do? After you cross the denial stage, how would you spend each precious moment?

I know what I would do. Ensure that I go without any regrets. Resolve any issues that I had with anyone & bid final farewells to all my near & dear ones. No sad goodbyes for me. A cheerful embrace of destiny is the way for me.

As for the final wish….hmm thats a tough 1. If I have the time I would probably embark on a tour of my country….so many beautiful places to visit….Interesting people to meet….things which one puts off for the the uncertain future 😦
